Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) ended Sunday’s trading session in the green zone, supported by telecom and materials sector gains.

The Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) gained 0.3% or 25.37 points and closed at 8,371.13 points.

Earlier today, the benchmark index was up by more than 0.65%, however, bank stocks saw excessive selling prior to the closing bell, leading the sector index to lose 0.65%, narrowing TASI's gains, especially as the energy sector slipped 0.17%.

On the other hand, the telecom sector led the rising wave and added 1.36%, while materials increased by 0.92%.

Traded values declined to SAR 3.95 billion today, compared with around SAR 4.6 billion on Thursday.

Volumes also shrank to 168.5 million traded shares, down from 183.5 million shares in the previous session.

A total of 160 stocks ended the session in gains, while 20 made losses, and 15 remained unchanged.

Nama Chemicals topped the rising stocks with a 7.66% surge, while Samba was the top loser and dropped 2.78%.

Aramco was the most actively traded stock with 20.3 million shares, logging the biggest turnover with SAR 706.75 million, closing at SAR 34.8, down by 0.57%.

Meanwhile, the Nomu Parallel Market levelled up by 3.3% to close at 6,909.56 points.
